Welcome to Canary Wharf Primary, Glenworth. It is my privilege to welcome you to our school, a community defined by its unwavering commitment to excellence, inclusion and the success of every child.

At the heart of our work is a clear and ambitious vision: high expectations for all, leading to outstanding outcomes. We are determined that every pupil leaves us as a confident, ambitious individual, equipped with strong moral values and a deep sense of purpose. This vision is realised through our relentless focus on developing masters of teaching, ensuring that every classroom experience is of the highest quality.

We are particularly proud of our strength in inclusion. Our provision is carefully structured through a comprehensive universal, targeted and specialist offer, enabling all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to thrive and achieve their full potential. We do not see inclusion as an additional provision, but as a fundamental principle that underpins everything we do.

Our commitment to teaching excellence is continuous and deliberate. Staff engage in high-quality professional development rooted in the very best of educational research and practice. This includes a strong focus on pedagogy, robust systems, lesson study, and instructional clinics. These approaches ensure that quality first teaching and learning are embedded consistently across the school, securing strong progress for all pupils.

This relentless focus on excellence is reflected in our exceptional outcomes at Key Stage 2, where our pupils consistently place us among the highest-performing schools nationally. From the very start of their journey, children benefit from a strong foundation in the Early Years, with outstanding Good Level of Development (GLD) outcomes and exceptional results in the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. These early successes establish the trajectory for continued academic achievement throughout the school.

However, our ambition extends beyond academic success alone. We are deeply committed to developing the whole child. Our exceptional pupil leadership programme provides meaningful opportunities for children to lead, contribute and grow in confidence. Through this, pupils develop the character, resilience and integrity required to succeed not only in school, but in life beyond.

As Principal, I hold the highest expectations for every member of our community—staff and pupils alike. We believe that with the right support, challenge and opportunities, every child can achieve excellence.

I look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure your child flourishes both academically and personally.
