In June 2026 Canary Wharf Glenworth was officially recognised as a World Class Accredited School, joining a converted network of 140 World Class schools.
World Class Status was awarded by the World Class Education Network, whose unique assessment framework assesses the students, not the school, for their demonstration of World Class skills and competencies. The premise is that if the school is truly World Class, then its students should be able to demonstrate this in whatever context they find themselves.
“Canary Wharf Glenworth demonstrates a strong and authentic commitment to academic excellence, character education and social responsibility within a distinctive Christian and community-focused ethos. Its outstanding holistic curriculum, through its enrichment programme, partnerships and leadership culture, provides pupils with meaningful opportunities to develop the confidence, curiosity, empathy, resilience, aspiration and responsibility to support their thriving beyond the school”
Charlie Jeninson, Director of WCSQM
Canary Wharf Glenworth was awarded this accreditation following a challenging assessment process in which students reflected on their achievements. 93 students submitted an astounding 667 achievements through the BeWorldClass platform, which is the only method of holistic development and impact across a whole school.
“This is far more than an award; it is an independent recognition that our school provides an exceptional education and prepares pupils not only for academic success, but also for life beyond the classroom. The rigorous accreditation process examines the quality of teaching, leadership, curriculum and, most importantly, the character, confidence and capabilities of our pupils. Schools must demonstrate that their children possess the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to thrive in an ever-changing global society.
Only a small number of schools nationally hold this distinguished status. The World Class Education Network intentionally limits accreditation to around 2.5–5% of the country’s highest-performing non-selective state schools, with only a small proportion being primary schools. This makes Glenworth’s achievement truly exceptional and places us among a select community of schools recognised for educational excellence.
This accreditation belongs to every member of our school community. It reflects the unwavering dedication of our exceptional staff, the ambition and enthusiasm of our pupils, the trust and partnership of our families, and the collective belief that every child deserves an education without limits.
We should all feel incredibly honoured to hold the title of a World Class School. It is a recognition of everything we have achieved together, but it is also a commitment to continue striving for excellence, nurturing aspiration and ensuring that every pupil leaves Glenworth ready to make a positive difference in the world.”

Information on WCEN
Since 2014, schools have been awarded with World Class Accreditation for going beyond standard inspection frameworks. In 2023, they were formally brought together as the World Class Education Network, created to give member schools greater control over the organisation. The network is built around a framework of skills and competencies that young people need to thrive in an emerging global economy. Its mission is to level up opportunities so that every student can develop World Class characteristics, both in and out of the classroom, regardless of their circumstances or background, and achieve their full potential.
