Friends of Canary Wharf is a dedicated group of parent volunteers who work in partnership with the school to strengthen our community, fundraise for priority projects, and organise events that bring families together.

Getting involved

All parents and carers are warmly welcomed into the Friends community. Whether supporting events, contributing ideas, or helping on an occasional basis, every contribution makes a meaningful difference to the life of the school.

Together, we ensure that every child benefits from a rich, memorable and inspiring primary experience.

What they do

  • Seasonal events: At Christmas, they arrange for Santa to visit the children and host after‑school wreath‑making for families.
  • Targeted fundraising: In liaison with the school, they identify annual priorities and run community fundraisers to support them.
  • Practical support: They organise regular second‑hand uniform sales to keep costs down and promote sustainability.
  • Parent networks: They coordinate parent WhatsApp groups to help families stay informed and connected.
  • Year 6 celebrations: They produce the leavers’ brochure, arrange leavers’ jumpers, and organise the end‑of‑year celebratory disco.

Their impact

  • A stronger, more connected school community.
  • Enriched experiences for pupils across the year.
  • Additional resources for the school’s educational priorities.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication of the Friends of Canary Wharf; their commitment and care benefit every child and family in our community.
