Our Reception children enjoyed an exciting and memorable trip to Mudchute Park and Farm, where they had the opportunity to observe a wide variety of animals up close and develop their understanding of the world around them.
Throughout the afternoon, the children explored the farm with great enthusiasm, learning about different animal habitats, what animals eat and how healthy food helps both animals and people to grow, stay active and remain strong.
The children were especially excited to meet the farm animals and discuss their features, behaviours and needs. They asked thoughtful questions, shared their own ideas and made connections to their classroom learning.
The visit also encouraged the children to use their senses, build confidence and develop important social skills as they explored together.
